Aditya Narayan Banerjee
Aditya is an Masters in Instrumental Music (Percussion) from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. He was born in 1970 in a musical family. His father and sister both are sarod players. His uncle Sri B.B.Banerjee was a senior most disciple of Pandit Ravishankarji and “A” graded musician of AIR, New Delhi.
Aditya turned to tabla an early age of five when he started his training under guidance of Sri Shivshankar Karmakar, a prominent disciple of Late Ustad Karamatullah Khan of Farukhabad Gharana. Since 1990 he has been under able guidance of the great tabla maestro Pandit Swapan Choudhuri, a great Exponent of Lucknow Gharana.
Aditya is “Sangeet Prabhakar” from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad and M. Music from Trilokya Sangeet Parishad, Kolkata. He also completed a music appreciation course from West Bengal State Academy & is also a computer hardware and software engineer.
He was the faculty member of Pandit Jasraj school of Music Foundation, Tampa (Florida), USA. He also has to his credit execution of several music workshop under the able guidance of Padmavibhusan Pandit Jasrajji.
Aditya led a Tabla Workshop for Visually Impaired children at LaVoy Exceptional Center in Tampa, FL, USA. He did a lecture demonstration at Renaissance Center For the non Indian audience organized by Project Ahimsha, Patel Foundation for Global Understanding & Renaissance Center for the Arts in Tampa. Aditya got “Rastrya Gaurav Award” the year 2007 from India.
7th Nov’07 Aditya performed in WHITE HOUSE with Pandita Tripti Mukherjee for occasion of Diwali. This year(2008) Aditya got the Award "Acharya-Var" from "Pandit Jasraj Institute for music research, artistry & appreciatio" by the hand of "Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj ji" July '08.
Performed with the well known Vocalist Dr. Balamurali Krishnan in Cochin on 30th Dec'09.
Aditya got "TAAL MANI" award from "Sikshayatan Cultural Center" New York Sep '08.
Aditya received "Rastriya Gaurav Award" in the year 2008 & "International Gold Star Award" in the year 2010 from Indian International Society Delhi.
STAGE EXPERIENCE
Performed in Spring Festival at Rabindra Nath Tagore’s House, jointly organized by RBU & AIR, live broadcasted through Radio.
Performed in Pandit Maniram & Motiram Sangeet Samaroho at Hyderabad 1998-99.

Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Academy concert tour with Smt. Gargi Siddhant on 1999 at Ajmeer & Jaipur.

At Deoghar Aditya accompanied Pandit Rajan & Sajan Mishra ji in the occation of 75th Birth Aniwarsari of Acharya dev of Baba Anukul Chandra with Pranav Biswas at Patna.
Performed as leading part in a big instrumental Orchestra directed by Pandit Deepak Choudhury at Rabindra Sadan & Science City Auditorium and also took part in a ten piece Tabla ensemble directed by Guru Pandit Swapan Choudhuri at Uttma Manch Kolkata.
Visited Cape town, South Africa, in Dec ’ 99 along with Pandit Jasrajji in the Parliament of World Religion, where Ex- President of SA, Nelson Mandela, Dalai Lama & many other dignitaries were present. Visited U.K. in 2002 for few months as a performer at England, Welse, few parts of Scottland, in which the most prestigious concert at Harry Ford, the World Music Festival of Royal Family of Great Britain.
He accompanied with different renowned Artists like Pandit Jasraj, Pandit Rajan & Sajan Mishra, Pandit Prabhakar Karekar, Smt. Arti Anklekar, Smt. Neela Bhagwat, Pandit Daya Sankar, Dr. Soma Ghosh, Prof. Aloke Dasgupta, Pandit Ronu Majumdar, Pandit Kamal Mallick, Pandit Ramesh Narayan, Pt. Nihar Ranjan Banerjee, Pta. Tripti Mukherjee, Smt. Subhra Guha, Sri Partha Bose, Pt. Sudhendra Bhowmik, Sri Pranab Kumar Biswas, Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, Sri Sougata Banerjee, Smt. Vrinda Munkhur, Sri Sugato Bhaduri, Pt. In India "Jasrangi Jugalbandi" with Pandita Tripti Mukherjee and Pandit Ramesh Narayan at Palghat & with Pandita Tripti Mukherjee & Pandit Suman Ghosh at New York Fine Arst Center Manhatan & recently he Is doing a "Fusion Music" named " The Mellows " with Sitar Maestro Aloke Dasgupta & the Double Neck Guitarist Don Vitsentzos at Hofstra University, Long Island; Jiva Mukti Foundation, Manhatan; Chariot Festival by Iscon, Brookline: New-York. Performed with Pandit Ramesh Narayan at the ART OF LIVING, New Jersey fund raiser concert in Oct. 2007 at Metachen & with Sri Partha Bose on April 2008 at Mahwah center.
